My dream birth as a first-time mother

I wrote a note about my birth because I really enjoyed reading other people's stories when I was pregnant. I hope others can benefit from it🥰

I gave birth at home as a first-time mother when I was 40+3.

2 days after my due date, my midwife visited us at home. I was 2-2.5 cm dilated, and she offered me a membrane solution, which I immediately accepted.
I then tried to rest, but an hour later I woke up every half hour with pain in my stomach and lower back. The pain increased during the evening, although it was not regular and came at intervals of 6-18 minutes. It continued all night and the next morning.

A little after 6 we called the midwife as the contractions were coming every 4-5 minutes and I had thrown up a couple of times. We agreed to call again in an hour or so when we all felt safe.

At 7 am, my husband called the midwife as the contractions were now coming every 3 minutes.
A little after 10, the midwife arrived and assessed that I was about 6 cm dilated and in active labor.

At 10 a.m. the birthing tub was ready in the living room, and I could finally get in the water. I felt the warm water enveloping my body, and it was an amazing experience.

A little over an hour later, the midwife estimated that the baby was 1.5 finger joints dilated.

At 12:00 the contractions started to get stronger, and at 12:10 the water broke.
My husband stood next to the midwife, ready to help welcome our baby, as we both wanted.
After 5 contractions, our son was born at 12:33 p.m. I will never forget the moment when my husband, filled with joy in his voice, said that I would give birth to our son in a moment.

It was a dream birth without equal and without a doubt the greatest I have ever experienced.🥰
