Place the tea directly into the filter and tie it tightly. Rinse the filter after use and let it air dry. You can use mild detergent if you wish.

• Before first use and then approximately every 6–8 weeks: boil the filter for approximately 10 minutes or wash it in a boiling water bath.
  
• If food or grease gets on the filter, boil it for 10 minutes as well.
  
• If the filter becomes clogged and the tea flows through slowly, you can boil it with a little limescale remover to refresh the fibers.
